SAMUEL ETO’O CELEBRATES CAMEROON’S AFCON TRIUMPH WITH TRIBUTE TO ‘MARC-VIVIEN FOÉ’

Samuel Eto’o has paid huge tribute to one of the fallen soldiers of Cameroon football, Marc-Vivien Foé who collapsed and passed away during Confederations Cup semi-final match between Cameroon and Colombia at Lyon’s Stade de Gerland.

The celebrated footballer wrote his tribute message through social media;

‘Cameroon’s win last night and the fact that we’ve secured the last spot in the #ConfedCup reminded me of 2003, when we had a great campaign but also a big loss. We will always remember you, Foé! Now Cameroon is back in #ConfedCup and I am sure this team will do their best to make you proud, wherever you are. #tbt #rip #playforfoe

The Indomitable Lions  came from a goal down to overcome the pharaohs of Egypt to lift the 2017 AFCON trophy.
