VIOLA DAVIS BECOMES FIRST BLACK ACTRESS TO EARN 3 ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATIONS

Viola Davis has made history, becoming the first black actress to earn three Academy Award nomination for her incredible supporting role in ‘Fences‘.

Davis got her first recognition back in 2009 for her supporting role in ‘Doubt‘, and another one in 2012 for her leading role in ‘The Help

She made similar history in 2015 when she won Emmy for her lead role in the series ‘How to Get Away with Murder‘.
